Title: Communist Trials of 1919 in Northern Transdanubia

Abstract: The article examines criminal proceedings conducted after the fall of the Hungarian Soviet Republic against former communist officials in Northern Transdanubia. It evaluates their substantive and procedural legality, the interpretation of political offences, and the tension between legal continuity, justice, and retroactive punishment.
