Studia Juridica et Politica Jaurinensia (ISSN 2064-5902) is a scholarly online journal of the Deák Ferenc Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, Széchenyi István University. The Journal publishes at least two issues per year and welcomes academic contributions primarily in English; in duly justified cases, selected issues or individual contributions may also appear in German or French.

The Journal offers a distinguished forum for scholarly dialogue in the fields of law, legal studies, political science, and related social sciences. It publishes original academic work, including selected papers associated with international conferences, seminars, and workshops organized by the Faculty, alongside submissions from authors of both national and international standing. The Journal is committed to fostering a broad and open scholarly discourse and welcomes submissions from authors beyond the host institution.

All manuscripts are subject to peer review and editorial assessment prior to publication. Submissions are evaluated on the basis of their academic merit, relevance to the Journal’s scope, and conformity with the Journal’s editorial and ethical standards. The Journal applies a transparent editorial and peer review process and is committed to maintaining high standards of academic integrity, editorial independence, and professional responsibility. Manuscripts authored by members of the host institution are subject to the same independent review and editorial procedures as all other submissions.

According to the journal list adopted by the Committee of State and Legal Sciences of Section IX: Economics and Law of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, effective from 1 June 2023, the Journal is classified as a Category C journal. The Journal is indexed in Google Scholar, the Hungarian Scientific Bibliography (MTMT), and REAL, the Repository of the Library of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Each published contribution is assigned a unique DOI, and the Journal seeks to strengthen its national and international visibility through consistent English-language metadata and reliable scholarly discoverability.

The full text of the Journal’s issues is made available online in open-access PDF format through the Faculty’s website. The Journal is led by its Editor-in-Chief, Dr. habil. Katalin Egresi, PhD, and its Editor, Dr. András Czebe, PhD. Its work is supported by an Editorial Board composed of distinguished Hungarian and international scholars representing a broad range of legal disciplines and related fields, thereby contributing to the academic excellence, intellectual integrity, and professional standing of the publication.
